Staff Bio
I joined the Ruane Family in 2024, and work out of the New Britain Office. I grew up in New Jersey with a passion for criminal defense. That led me to Rutgers University where I graduated in 2021 with degrees in criminal justice and psychology. While at Rutgers, I played on the softball team and was a recipient of the 2021 Woman of the Year award. In my free time, I still give lessons, and help out with my hometown youth softball league.
In 2024, I graduated from Quinnipiac University School of Law where I served as the President of the Mock Trial Society and competed on the Student Dispute Resolution Team. During college and law school, I worked in the Public Defender’s Office and in the private sector on both criminal and civil cases as a certified legal intern.
Why criminal defense? There is never a moment that anyone should feel like their story isn’t worth telling. In college, I studied crime through the life course. There’s certain common trajectories that impact the course of someone’s life, but that path is never set in stone. There’s always a reason to tell your story. It will be heard.
