2016

In 2016, a total of 1,555 pardon applications were received in the state of Connecticut and 842 were deemed eligible for further review. Of the 842 eligible applicants, 773 were granted a pardon. Of the 773 that were granted a pardon, 672 were granted an absolute pardon and 101 were granted Certificates of Employability. 469 applicants were denied in total, 407 of which were denied during the pre screen process and 62 were denied after a full hearing. The overall grant rate was 62%.

2017

In 2017, a total of 1,506 pardon applications were received in Connecticut and 1,190 were deemed eligible. Of the 1,190 eligible applicants, 716 were granted a pardon. Of the 716, 303 were granted an absolute pardon, 93 were granted Certificates of Employability and 320 were granted expedited pardons. 239 applicants were denied; 191 were denied at the pre screen and 48 were denied after a full hearing. The overall grant rate was 75%.

2018

In 2018, a total of 1,857 pardon applications were received and 983 were deemed eligible. Of the 983 eligible applicants, 767 were granted a pardon. Of the 767, 254 were granted an absolute pardon, 70 were granted Certificates of Employability and 443 were granted expedited pardons. 230 applicants were denied; 200 were denied during the pre screen and 30 were denied after a full hearing. The overall grant rate was 77%.
