Internship Program

Firm Internship Program

Ruane Attorneys has a tradition of welcoming law students, college undergraduates, and high school students into their offices. We allow these young professionals to observe and participate in unpaid semester-long internships. We do this to help people fully appreciate the lifelong calling of a career in law and to expose students to real-world legal problems and solutions. This can help young people solidify their career paths and learn about careers in law.
Students interested in applying for an internship should fill out the form below:
For Fall Semester Internships, all applications must be received by July 1.
For Spring Internships, all applications must be received by November 1.
Applicants will be advised if they are granted interviews and invited to come to a regional office to sit with a member of the firm to discuss the internship opportunities available.
Due to the nature of academic requirements, all internships will be 12-week unpaid positions with a minimum commitment of 10 hours per week and will conclude at the end of the academic calendar to enable students to prepare for final exams.

Your Application

Each internship is different, but we generally ask for a resume, a cover letter, and an in-person interview. Please make sure that you can commit to the full internship period before applying.
We look forward to hearing from you and hope to welcome you to our team. Please contact our office with your application material. We will then contact you to set up an interview.
Please note: If the form is not available, it means that the program applications are currently closed.
